Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
The worm moved very quickly, but Ming Chu's movements were faster.
Even though her body felt sore and weak, a thumb-sized worm still couldn't evade her blade.
What surprised Ming Chu was that when the blade struck, the worm actually produced a metallic clashing sound against the edge.
Of course, the worm was still not as hard as the knife. Although there was a slight resistance, the worm was still cut into two pieces.
Even after being cut, the worm was still twisting on the ground. It didn't die immediately and even tried to crawl toward Ming Chu.
Ming Chu pinned the worm to the ground. Zhang Ming and Li Liang, who were on night watch, also looked over nervously: "Sister, what's wrong?"
"Just a worm," Ming Chu said to Zhang Ming. "Go wake Liu Yun up."
"Ah? Okay, I'll go call Teacher Liu."
Zhang Ming went to wake her.
Liu Yun actually hadn't been sleeping very soundly. As soon as she heard the call, she got up immediately, especially when she heard it was a worm, and it was Ming Chu who said it. She almost climbed out without even having time to put on her protective suit.
She brought tweezers and a test tube, wanting to clamp the worm as soon as she saw it on the ground.
At this point, the worm had stopped twisting. Ming Chu explained, "I was afraid that a worm that had been dead for too long would be different from one that just died, so I called you."
"You did the right thing. No matter when, as long as it's beneficial to the research, just call me."
Ming Chu's eyes softened: "Alright."
Having a partner who was proactively competitive was truly great!
The worm that had secretly approached Ming Chu was a parasite. Yes, they were all calling them parasites now.
But after Liu Yun examined it, she realized this parasite was not right.
"This doesn't look like an ordinary parasite. This parasite looks more powerful than the others. Is it a parasite that has evolved through cannibalism?" Liu Yun's expression was grim.
