Apocalypse Invasion: Survival on the Infinite Train
Ming Chu stayed in the back of the van with Yiyi for ten minutes. After ten minutes, she walked out holding an empty baby bottle and cradling Yiyi.
Fang Minghong noticed the empty bottle immediately. He was taller than Ming Chu, and as she drew closer, he could see that Yiyi had grown a size larger; her complexion was rosy, and she looked exceptionally satisfied.
A flash of joy crossed his eyes.
"Is my child full?"
Ming Chu glanced at him and gave a grunt of affirmation.
The smile on Fang Minghong's face turned smug. He reached out toward Ming Chu and said as if it were only natural, "Then give the child to me."
"You can get out of the van now. The child belongs to Lin Meng, and I will take her back to her," Ming Chu refused.
Fang Minghong, however, was not angry at all. He looked at Ming Chu with pity: "I advise you to give the child to me quickly, otherwise, you will regret it soon."
Ming Chu held the child tighter. Seeing Fang Minghong's expression, she seemed to realize something, and her face changed abruptly: "What did you do? Was there something wrong with that milk? Yiyi is your daughter!"
"Since you know she is my daughter, you should know that I would never harm her." Fang Minghong's face was full of fanaticism. He looked at Yiyi with a kind of sick obsession, "I am only helping my daughter become a queen."
"What does that mean?" Ming Chu took a step back, watching him with vigilance and suspicion.
"What do you know? How could you understand the preferences of the gods? How could you know how happy I was when my daughter was chosen?" Fang Minghong was no longer pretending.
Ming Chu felt a chill run down her spine. She was furious: "So, Yiyi being born prematurely was because of you people?"
"She was merely meeting her destiny. She will thank me later." Fang Minghong said again, "Give her to me. I won't hide it from you—if we weren't here, she wouldn't be able to suppress her craving for flesh and blood. That bottle of milk could only keep her quiet for two hours. Within those two hours, if she doesn't have our specially formulated milk, she will want to eat people."
